Christmas Eve 2007

This Christmas Eve we went with Grammy and Grandpa to a live Nativity in Denton. Matthew liked feeding the camels. Then on the way back home we stopped in front of Texas Motor Speedway and took pictures underneath there gigantic tree.
This is for all you haters out there who said I needed to update the blog. Yes you are right the blog needs to be updated. But this was one of Clay's jobs not Jo's. I, Jo, have now taken over the blog, it will be updated regularly. I am playing ketchup so I started with Halloween and am moving forward. Hopefully soon I will get caught up. Love ya guys tons. The blog will be more of a pic/journal type thing for me. Hope you enjoy reading about our little families life.

2007 Thanksgiving Day

Allan hooked us up big time with tickets to the Cowboy game. Stacey and Trent sat at the end zone and the rest of us sat on the 40 yard line. Right when we got there Allan bought Matthew a Romo jersey, he wasn't quite sure about it (now he loves it and wears it when we watch a game).

Matthew was mesmerized by the whole thing. He liked the guys crashing into each other. I think that he thought they were wrestling. The coolest part was right before half time it started snowing!! It never snows in Texas and the crowd went wild. I mean a couple of days before it was 80 degrees. Matthew finally fell asleep in the 4th quarter. We all had a blast. The final score was cowboys 34 Jets 3. Thank You Allan!!!!

Early Thanksgiving in Utah

The week before Thanksgiving the Family packed up and went to Utah. At the airport Matthew and Mom road the SkyTram around and around the airport, he loved it. He is such a good travel buddy these days. He loves to take airplane rides. Grandma took Matthew and Livie to Build-a-Bear. Matthew chose a monkey named George and Livie chose a bunny named Thumper. Livie had fun dressing up Thumper but Matthew insisted that George did not need clothes. It was so much fun watching Livie and Matthew play and a good break. They kept each other entertained almost the whole time and even took naps together. It was good to see all the Welchs. It seem like we do not get a chance to see them a lot since we are down in Texas.

Halloween 2007

This past Halloween was busy. Matthew and mom went to the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound. We were Thomas the train at Grammy's work and at the ward party. I won runners up for my trunk decorations. Halloween night Clay got to go with us trick or treating and Matthew went as Buzz Lightyear.

Oh you mean my other left....

I don't know which is worse. Having to listen to ATC...... or appeasing them by turning right when I should have just gone straight like I wanted to. All I wanted to do was leave the thunderstorms and tornado's behind.....

As you can tell the turn made my life a lot less smooth. We were getting ruffed up so bad after our turn toward the trouble I think I even a saw a tear coming from my FO's eye.

Proof the playset is finished!!!!

This picture is for all the doubters out there. The Playset is complete, Matthew loves being out on the swings. We have also figured out you can run a hose to the top of the slide and you can get your own Matthew size waterslide.

Casey's Wedding

I don't have many pictures from our trip to Utah for Casey's wedding. I was however able to get some pictures off Ali and Mikes camera while we were there. The trip was a blast. I have to say the bachelor party may have been the funniest thing I myself have ever witnessed. If only there were pictures to prove it.

The wedding was at the Salt Lake Temple and all the festivities were in or around downtown as well. This was the first time I have been able to make a trip up there in the past couple of years so I was very happy to see all the family this time through. We're looking forward to our trip in November for Thanksgiving where we will be there again.

More pictures from the Fair

The Texas Fair Afternoon

We got to go to the State Fair this weekend with Allan. It was very fun. Matthew was a very good sport. He loved the games and played more than his fair share of them. The weather was very nice, I think it only got into the mid 80's. Perfect weather to be out and about.

Let the posting resume.

After a slight hiatus, I will resume posting on the blog. A couple months ago I inadvertently broke our camera. So that kinda put a stop to posting pictures. But Mike and Becky came to our rescue all the way from China by sending us an a great new camera from orient itself. Big, Big thanks to them. This camera is something else! We spent the day playing with it so I'll get some pics up shortly.

Here is a picture of Missy doing what Missy does best. Trying to stay out of Mathew's way so she can get a little nap.

As work continues on the tower it's actually starting to look more like a playset. Matt was quite to helper today. He was holding the boards while I was putting the screws in. The weather has not been the best for being outdoors this week so today is the only day I've been able to do anything on it. Hopefully the weather will remain good for the weekend but we'll have to see.

Just call me the Toolman

This is a pic for all to see. Just as proof that I'm actually progressing on Matt's playset. Albeit one day at a time. But progress is progress in my book. I have come to the conclusion that I have mad skillz when it comes to putting things together!!!

In Pheonix this past week.

I had to do a week out of PHX this week so I got to see Spence, G and Megan for a bit. Sadly I have no pics of hanging with the crew. G took some so when he sends those I'll post them but this is a pic from Yuma while they were loading the plane in about 115 degrees of heat. Let it be known that I don't care about the dry or humid heat, 115 degrees is BLAZIN' hot no matter what they say!!

Friday afternoon was a pretty good day to go to the pool so off we went! We had to get Matthew a little tuckered out for his sleepover at Grandmas house. After the pool we hit up Jo's favorite place to eat, Babe's Chicken!!! Rather exiting eh?

On another note.

No little get together would be complete without the ever classic Trent belly!!!!!

Did someone win the Lottery?

This picture is here for no other reason than it makes me laugh. You'd think she was holding the winning ticket for the lottery. LOL

Matthew's Birthday

Here are some of the pics from Matthews birthday. Lots of people and lots of fun. Alison, Mike, and little Livvy came up from San Antonio for the weekend and my Mom came for a couple days as well. Al around a very good time.

So I'm waaaay behind in posting stuff......

The past few weeks have been beyond busy for me, hence the lack of updates. So briefly here is what has been going on...

I picked up two new jobs. The first is at Flight Safety as a right seat guy for training in the Falcon 20 sims. Just like I was doing for Simuflite a couple years back. It's keeping me current in the 20 and getting a little extra coin on the side.

The other gig is me flying for an air ambulance company out of Fort Worth. This job has some good potential. I'll be flying the Cessna 414 first, then trained on the Sennaca 2, then ending up in their Citation.

I'm beginning to feel less like a pilot and more like a career trainer in aircraft. But for some reason I find it entertaining.
