Shorts One Day, Snow Suits the Next

Texas has had some CRAZY weather lately. Yesterday, Matthew and I were outside in shorts soaking up the sunshine. Today, the weather Gods decided we needed snow and sleet. The kids had a blast.

New Car Seat

Matthew has moved up to a booster car seat. He loves it and thinks that he is such a big boy. While we are driving he will tell you to use to hands if you are only using one. He has made much progress this week on going poop poop on the potty. Hopefully before the baby comes he will have it down to a fine art. He is enjoying going to story time at the library and going to the gym to play while his dad works out. We finally cut out his naps this week, so he is going to bed at a decent hour.

Fun Times with Grandma

This weekend was so much fun. We had Grandma come and spend the weekend with us. We had fun playing on the swing set, playing ker plunk, and just enjoying each others company. The girls got away for a couple of hours for a well deserved pedicure. We love it when Grandma comes to town.

9 More Weeks!!!

The count down to the baby arriving is on. We have decided that our baby girl's name is going to be Paige. Matthew likes to listen to my belly and give it kisses. She is a really active baby and she kicks so hard that so takes my breath away. She really starts kicking when I haven't eaten in a while. The sister's in my ward threw my a baby shower. It was so much fun. I got clothes galore. Girl clothes are so much more fun than boy clothes. I am getting nervous about having a girl, I do not know what to do with a girl. Matthew has had fun getting all the baby stuff out and putting it all together. He really liked going from room to room testing out the baby monitors. He also liked putting the crib together, he thought it was a lions cage and he was the lion. The doctors have kept a close eye on me and hopefully I will be able to go full term this time.

Croop

Matthew is sick with his yearly Croop. This year has been better because he actually uses the nose piece for his breathing treatment. Clay said that each year starting as a toddler up until he reached 11, he would get Bronchitis yearly. Like father like son.

Shaving at Three

Every time Daddy shaves on the weekend, he has a little companion that shaves along with him.

Another Day in the Life of Matthew

Matthew is so much fun these days. He likes watching other people play out Thomas on YouTube. He has learned from YouTube that trains like to crash and fall off the tracks. He spends hours playing with his trains. He has different voices for the different trains and they have conversations. He also likes me to video tape him playing with his trains.

RED RIVER NEW MEXICO 2008

This is my last New Mexico Post. Each year we have a blast and it is fun to get together as a family for one week where there are no phone calls or work getting in the way, it is all about the family.

Matthew would take long naps after skiing and once he woke up it was time to go sledding. If you click on the first picture to enlarge it, Matthew's expression says it all.

At the cabin, nothing to do but compare bellies. One person about six months pregnant, the other person a really good eater.

Matthew's first time skiing!!!! He had a blast. At first he skied in between his dad's legs and then to the side. Then Clay and Allan would glide him to each other. Finally, by the third day he was skiing all by himself.
