Training Wheels Off

Matthew has braved the first tries at riding his bike without the help of the training wheels. His fear of this new feeling on his bike is still getting the better part of him, but soon he will be zooming by without a fear in the world.

Little Photographer

Keeping yourself entertained on a long journey home can lead to some creative thinking. Matthew asked for the camera and came up with these interesting shoots.

The Magic Time Machine

Eating in a pumkin, being entertained by our waiter Joe Dirt and drinking a fogging drink was just some of the fun memories had at the Magic Time Machine celebrating Allan's 27th birthday. In order to sit in the pumpkin Paige had to sit on a booster seat because a highchair was a fire hazard, She handled herself pretty darn well for the first time. Paige did not want anything to do with Uncle Allan until he was the one with the ice cream by the end of desert she was sitting on his lap. It is always fun to get together with family, you missed you Trent!!!!

Garrett Comes to Town

This weekend was full of fun events. Garrett came and stayed with us for a couple of days. It was so enjoyable to sit back, relax and catch up. We also enjoyed playing some T-ball and flying kites.

Cold Rainy Day = McDonalds

Yesterday it was a beautiful 80 degrees and then today 40 degrees and raining. We desperatly needed the rain which has so far lead to the grass just popping out of the ground. Matthew needed to run off some energy where he can always make a new best friend so we headed off to McDonalds.

Happy Happy Birthday!!!!

Happy 27th Birthday to my brother, Allan!!!
We Love you and are so glad that you are in our lives.

Paige's New Swing

So we go to get Paige a swing to put on our swing set. There are two of the exact same swing, the only difference is one is pink and the other is blue. So of course the pink one is $24 and the blue one is $11. I could not justify paying that much more money just to have a pink swing, but I do believe that the price difference was sexist.

Honkball Begins

This spring Matthew is playing Honkball and his team is the Yankees. Honkball is like T-ball but for the 3 and 4 year olds when they run and step on the base it honks at them. It should be an entertaining season. These are pictures at their first practice.

Birthday Tutu

Paige's birthday tutu came in the mail today and I just had to share some pictures because it is so beautiful. I can't wait for the personalized bloomers to come in so we can go and get birthday pictures done!!!!

Paige Got Her Ears Pierced!!!

Today we were in Southlake walking around trying to get ideas for upcoming birthdays when we passed Claire's. I have been saying for weeks that we needed to get her ears pierced but never got around to it. So we strolled right on in and came out with pierced ears. She cried for a minute but the drama was over when she received a sucker. The things food does for Paige. While we were sitting in the chair my nerves were getting to me, but I am so glad I got it done. It makes her even more beautiful.

Watching Airplanes

While waiting to pick Clay up from the airport we stopped off at the Founders' Plaza at DFW. This is the coolest place if your kids love planes. You can hear the conversation between ATC and the pilots of the planes and are able to just sit and watch the planes land and take off. Matthew enjoyed seeing the ATR.

Matthew's Tennis League

Wednesdays until May we have been invited up to the Dallas Country Club at 3:00 for some tennis with Uncle Allan. Matthew loves interacting with other 4 year olds and being taught by his goofy uncle. Paige likes to play with the balls. We also have been lucky enough to enjoy dinner afterwards with Neely.

Paige and Her Tongue

Paige and her tongue!!!! She constantly has her tongue sticking out of the side of her mouth lately. She is cruising all over the place and pulling herself up. She has recently discovered that doors open and close and tries to pull every thing off of selves. She keeps me on my toes.

Truck Update

The truck has been located. It was found abandoned on a side road in Oklahoma. The only damage as of now is the window that was busted out and the steering column. The truck is on his way back today headed to the Dodge shop in North Richland Hills so our Dodge mechanic Clint can work on Big Blue.

Texas Sunset

The first couple weeks in February have been difficult. It started with a 10:30 pm doctor run for Matthew because I could not get his 103.4 fever to break. He ended up having the flu. After waiting for his antibiotic at the pharmacy we finally ended up home at 1:00 in the morning. Couple of days later I find out that I had the flu. Couple days after that Paige has a temperature over 103. I had to lug the kids out of bed at 4:30 to run to the store to get Motrin. She ended up having two ear infections. The joys of having your husband out of town and having a sick family. Everyone is better now and hopefully we can enjoy the rest of February.

Spongebob Squarepants

So we sent Matthew off to CTR class and he comes back with a picture of Spongebob. After asking him what he learned today in class, the only thing he can remember is getting to go use the bathroom and drawing a picture of Spongebob. Gotta love him.

Big Blue

My Dad's truck was stolen!!!! It had just come out of the shop sitting at Stacey's house waiting to be moved back over to our house and someone smashed the passenger side window in and stole it. The truck now known as grande azul (family joke) will be missed. My fondest memories of the truck were up in New Mexico. Especially the time we went up the mountain and through a small body of water, where the lip on the other side was a little deeper than expected. The kids enjoyed their adventures in the truck.
