It started snowing Saturday night and didn't stop till Monday afternoon. This made it a difficult drive for my dad taking Clay and Neely to the airport in Albuquerque on Sunday. It made for a beautiful group picture and awesome view from the cabin.

Paige Getting Around
Whenever Paige came along with us on our adventures outdoors we would put her in the sled and drag her along. Every person we crossed stopped and commented on how cute she was or what a great idea it was to pull her around. She was a good sport about it even though she cried every time we put her in her suit.
Matthew Sking
Matthew ended up being really sick this year. The second day there we took him to the doctor and he ended up having a cold and an ear infection. Everytime he would go outside he ended up coughing so hard that he would almost vomit. He did manager to get one afternoon of sking in before his dad left. His favorite part was going off of two jumps with his dad. The rest of the trip he pretty much stayed in the cabin.
Paige Feeding the Deer
Paige was so tickled when feeding the deer. She didn't want to share the tortilla and tried to eat it after the deer took a nibble off of it. She gave the deer a love pat on the nose once the food was gone.

You can be my wingman anytime.
A few weeks ago we took another airplane to Spokane to be turned into Coke cans and this is one of the pictures that was taken by my F/O.
That's right..... I'm a true aviator now with my ultra-cool shades!!! I thought this pic was amusing enough that I had to share it with all of you. Hopefully Jo will not mind to much that I cut into her New Mexico pictures that I'm sure are shortly coming.
Just think Mav and the IceMan.... "You can be my wingman anytime". "Bullbutter, you can be mine!!!"

Houston is as glorious as one would guess (SARCASM).
Well day one of ATR school is complete. I had to leave the New Mexico trip early to get to Houston so I can get my education on. Bad news....... I missed on the back half of the ski trip. Good news..... I get typed on the ATR preparing for my new base in Midland.
So I guess it's 1 day down 26 to go till I get home for a weekend to see the fam for a weekend before leaving again to do ATR differences training (ATR-42 and ATR-72) for a few more weeks in Spokane, Seattle, and SouthEast Alaska. It should be a busy 2 months!!
Big thanks to all involved in the ski trip!! It was a blast.

"Best Christmas Ever!!!"

Well Merry Christmas to all reading this post!! I hope you're day went as well as ours. We kept it rather low-key at our house. Matthew was up at about 7 am and we proceeded to open presents. Paige had a fun time as well even though I don't think she had any idea what was going on or why Matt was so exited. But she tried to open presents and had fun trying to eat any wrapping paper she could get her little hands on.
Mike and Becky came over and were able to participate in Christmas morning with us as well. We of course had a good breakfast after presents of Biscuits Gravy and all the Fix'ns. It was a very fun day. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Christmas Eve
This Christmas has been so exciting to see it through Matthew's eyes. He wakes up in the morning and tells me how many more naps he has to take before Santa comes. He has changed the count down number every day on the clipboard and gets excited because it is one day closer. Today we have been tracking Santa on the computer and he had to keep checking to make sure that Santa had not passed him by. We went to Denton to eat at El Matadors for dinner with my parents, Stacey and Trent. Matthew had to go outside to make sure it was not dark yet in fear that he would miss Santa. We also visited the annual Porter and Andrus family Nativity that they host for all to enjoy and it was wonderful to see old church friends. On the drive home Matthew wanted us to hurry so he could see where Santa was. He also told his dad that he wanted him to call Santa to make sure he knows that he lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
Christmas Activities at School
Matthew has been busy all month long at school learning about the Jesus and all the season has to offer. There class performed in a mini concert for the parents. They sang and acted out 2 songs and then played bells to another. I took videos of all the performances but they are to big to download. My favorite was the ringing of the bells. After the performances were done Matthew told me that it was time for me to go home.

The Polar Express
Matthew has been looking forward to the Polar Express ride. Texas weather really didn't allow it to feel like the Polar Express but we still had fun singing carols, seeing Santa and of course riding the rails. Only in Texas can you get a corney dog and funnel cake while riding the express.
