"Best Christmas Ever!!!"
Well Merry Christmas to all reading this post!! I hope you're day went as well as ours. We kept it rather low-key at our house. Matthew was up at about 7 am and we proceeded to open presents. Paige had a fun time as well even though I don't think she had any idea what was going on or why Matt was so exited. But she tried to open presents and had fun trying to eat any wrapping paper she could get her little hands on.
Mike and Becky came over and were able to participate in Christmas morning with us as well. We of course had a good breakfast after presents of Biscuits Gravy and all the Fix'ns. It was a very fun day. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Christmas Eve
This Christmas has been so exciting to see it through Matthew's eyes. He wakes up in the morning and tells me how many more naps he has to take before Santa comes. He has changed the count down number every day on the clipboard and gets excited because it is one day closer. Today we have been tracking Santa on the computer and he had to keep checking to make sure that Santa had not passed him by. We went to Denton to eat at El Matadors for dinner with my parents, Stacey and Trent. Matthew had to go outside to make sure it was not dark yet in fear that he would miss Santa. We also visited the annual Porter and Andrus family Nativity that they host for all to enjoy and it was wonderful to see old church friends. On the drive home Matthew wanted us to hurry so he could see where Santa was. He also told his dad that he wanted him to call Santa to make sure he knows that he lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
Christmas Activities at School
Matthew has been busy all month long at school learning about the Jesus and all the season has to offer. There class performed in a mini concert for the parents. They sang and acted out 2 songs and then played bells to another. I took videos of all the performances but they are to big to download. My favorite was the ringing of the bells. After the performances were done Matthew told me that it was time for me to go home.

The Polar Express
Matthew has been looking forward to the Polar Express ride. Texas weather really didn't allow it to feel like the Polar Express but we still had fun singing carols, seeing Santa and of course riding the rails. Only in Texas can you get a corney dog and funnel cake while riding the express.

First Spaghetti Dinner
Paige's appetite seems to hold no limits. She loves waiting people food now and tonight we had some good ol' spaghetti. She eat like she meant it. Matt has never really dug on spaghetti which I can't even fathom because I personally think spaghetti's should be it's own food group. Matt did however finish his as well, and might I add... much cleaner.

Rub-A Dub
Matthew insisted that his sister take a bath with him tonight. We put Paige in her tub which acted like a floating boat that had taken in to much water. They both had fun in the water soaking in vapor bath.

Ice Skating in Dallas
We received a call this afternoon from Uncle Allan inviting us to go ice skating in Dallas. As we had a whole day of absolutely nothing going on we pack up the critters and away we go. This was Matt's fist time on ice and he did great. Paige was a champ as well until it got to be past her bedtime. Overall it was a very fun way to spend the afternoon and evening. Big thanks to Allan for inviting us out.

Pictures with Santa
Today was Santa picture day. The pictures turned out pretty good. That was a surprise from what we had prepared ourselves for. We fully expected Paige to be having a fit about being on Santa's lap, but she did great. Matt seemed to enjoy being able to see Santa. After all the first thing I heard from him today when I woke up was that we were going to see Santa. So he was pretty psyched up.

No more kids for us!!!!
Clay was brave enough last week to take on the task of making sure that we do not experience another unexpected pregnancy. Our family is now complete with a boy and a girl and knew that 2 kids would complete our family ever the dating stage. The recovery was slow and quite painful, but he is doing much better now. (Mr. Titanium) LOL
Fire
After 5 years of owning our house we finally decided to use the fireplace after a debacle on rather it was a gas fireplace or not. It just so happens that there is a gas line that helps you start the fire and keep it going. Matthew lit up over having a fire in his own house. He has his tent set up in front on the fire in hopes that he is able to camp out.
Thanksgiving
Matthew's Fall Art Work
This Thanksgiving we were able to join Stacey and Trent and the Huffman's household in Pilot Point. The food was delish and the only non traditional food that they have as a tradition was fried chicken, which I loved the most. Matthew made a new best friend Allysia and they had a great time playing. We had a great time and were so thankful to be invited. Allan this year was in St. Louis with Neely's family so we did not attend the Dallas Cowboy football game ( so sad).

Paige Doing Circles
This is a video (which is in super speed) of Paige sitting and turning in circles. One day we noticed that she was not sitting in the direction we put her. She will now turn her body using her legs. She loves to stand (with our assistance) and is able to hold her body weight up on all four. She is able to move her self backwards, but is still just rocking herself back and forth when she tries to go forward. Any day now she will be on the move with a crawl and at this point Miss Grabby Patties will be a force to be reckoned with.

Picnic at the Park
Yesterday the weather was wonderful so we packed up a lunch and headed to the park. Matthew made a new best friend while Paige just enjoyed being outside. The picture of Paige in her stroller you can see her little teeth. She has her two bottom ones now.

Dinner fun
Our little Paige likes her dinner served with a side of VOLUME. She squeals and chatters without stop unless food is continuasly being shoveled into her mouth. So Matt decided to help out. Personally I'm not sure it was him being a really good big brother or just trying to get her to eat so he could get her to be quite for a few seconds.........

Thursday Washing of Cars
The weather has been fantastic this week (weekend temps have been rather chilly however). Matt told me Mommies cars was dirty and we needed to wash it. So we had a car washing afternoon on Thursday. Of course my helper ends up spraying everything within a 25 foot radius, most of all himself. Missy the dog was hangin' out with us as well but she had to stay on high alert on the side-lines to avoid getting hosed down. But that's what makes Matthew fun, his never-ending ideas of entertainment. Which in truth just makes Jo and Myself laugh a lot.
