No more kids for us!!!!

Clay was brave enough last week to take on the task of making sure that we do not experience another unexpected pregnancy. Our family is now complete with a boy and a girl and knew that 2 kids would complete our family ever the dating stage. The recovery was slow and quite painful, but he is doing much better now. (Mr. Titanium) LOL

Fire

After 5 years of owning our house we finally decided to use the fireplace after a debacle on rather it was a gas fireplace or not. It just so happens that there is a gas line that helps you start the fire and keep it going. Matthew lit up over having a fire in his own house. He has his tent set up in front on the fire in hopes that he is able to camp out.

Thanksgiving

Matthew's Fall Art Work

This Thanksgiving we were able to join Stacey and Trent and the Huffman's household in Pilot Point. The food was delish and the only non traditional food that they have as a tradition was fried chicken, which I loved the most. Matthew made a new best friend Allysia and they had a great time playing. We had a great time and were so thankful to be invited. Allan this year was in St. Louis with Neely's family so we did not attend the Dallas Cowboy football game ( so sad).

Paige Doing Circles

This is a video (which is in super speed) of Paige sitting and turning in circles. One day we noticed that she was not sitting in the direction we put her. She will now turn her body using her legs. She loves to stand (with our assistance) and is able to hold her body weight up on all four. She is able to move her self backwards, but is still just rocking herself back and forth when she tries to go forward. Any day now she will be on the move with a crawl and at this point Miss Grabby Patties will be a force to be reckoned with.

Picnic at the Park

Yesterday the weather was wonderful so we packed up a lunch and headed to the park. Matthew made a new best friend while Paige just enjoyed being outside. The picture of Paige in her stroller you can see her little teeth. She has her two bottom ones now.

Dinner fun

Our little Paige likes her dinner served with a side of VOLUME. She squeals and chatters without stop unless food is continuasly being shoveled into her mouth. So Matt decided to help out. Personally I'm not sure it was him being a really good big brother or just trying to get her to eat so he could get her to be quite for a few seconds.........

Thursday Washing of Cars

The weather has been fantastic this week (weekend temps have been rather chilly however). Matt told me Mommies cars was dirty and we needed to wash it. So we had a car washing afternoon on Thursday. Of course my helper ends up spraying everything within a 25 foot radius, most of all himself. Missy the dog was hangin' out with us as well but she had to stay on high alert on the side-lines to avoid getting hosed down. But that's what makes Matthew fun, his never-ending ideas of entertainment. Which in truth just makes Jo and Myself laugh a lot.

Drool Rash

I finally took Paige to the doctor over the concern of the rash on her face. I just did not know if it was going to be a permanent thing or if it would go away on its own. It ends up that she has a drool rash and that it is caused by the moisture around her mouth and the use of a binkie. The doctor gave us a little cream and hopefully in a week it will go away. She is still a beautiful girl even though she does have a clown face.

Matthew's First Love

Matthew has a huge crush on a girl in his preschool class. Her name is Joelle and she is a cute girl with long brown hair. On his way to school he will sing a song " I like Joelle, Joelle is my friend". When he arrives at school he looks around for Joelle and is disappointed when she has not arrived yet or will run up to her and say hi when she is there. When I come to pick him up he always says bye to Joelle and only Joelle. When he is away from school all we hear is Joelle, Joelle, Joelle!! He is always saying "I miss Joelle" and he always reminds us that he likes her. It is really cute but I don't know when the obsession becomes out of control.

Clay's Awarded Midland

Clay is switching air crafts and bases come January. He has just been awarded Midland and will be flying an ATR. He will most likely be moving in with one of the other pilots at the base. This is a good move. In January Empire is scrapping all the Fokkers and closing Alliance and Wichita base. He was awarded Alaska (also an ATR base) about a month ago so he was not worried about losing his job. He took Midland because he will get more hours flying, it is an easier commute and he is able to drive the truck out there. They will also make him a check airman in the ATR.

D&B

Ever since we got back from Idaho we have been go, go, go. After Matthew's soccer game my mom wanted to gather with all the kiddos one last time before she headed off to China. We ended up at Dave & Busters for a fun filled evening of food and games. I put this picture up on the blog because the day we left Idaho Paige's lips got so chapped that they broke out into blisters. She looks like she took a tube of red lipstick and smeared it all over her mouth.
I had a wonderful time with my mom here. We have an awesome relationship. She is like my best friend that I can confide in and talk to about anything and nothing. Matthew enjoys hanging out with his Grammy and by the end of her visit Paige even warmed up to her. I love you mom!!!

Soccer

After horseback riding Matthew had his second to last game. He is understanding the game more and more. He is still not an aggressive player and will not steal the ball away from another player. If the ball comes his way he will kick it. He also keeps up with the pack running and following all the kids around.

Horseback Riding

On Saturday it was our annual horseback riding with the activity day girls at Suzy's house. The girls look forward to this activity every year. I have been in charge of the girls for about 1 1/2 years. Matthew has always been my little companion. He thinks that he is just one of the girls and enjoys every activity with them. The girls are always so helpful with him and like to help him out with the crafts that we do. My mom came along with me this year and was a tremendous help with Paige. We had tons of parent participation this year which always makes the activities so much easier.

Halloween Day

Halloween Day was a marathon. We woke up at 4:30am to get ready to depart my Grandparents to head toward the airport. We arrived at the airport around 11:00 am and Colleen met us there. We hung out and ate at the airport until our flight at 1:30pm. We finally arrived at DFW at 5:00pm. By the time we got home it was at 6:30pm. Mathew had time to eat and then meet the Clark's (our neighbors) to go out Trick or Treating at 7:00pm. Paige and I just stayed home so she missed her first Halloween which is sad because this is my favorite holiday. Matthew went as Batman and loved every minute of it. As soon as he got back the candy was dumped all over the floor to examine all the goodies he had received. Grandma on the airplane taught him "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat."

Trip to Idaho

Great Grandma & Grandpa Fullmer

Four Generation Shot

Mom & Paige
The kids and I were able to go with my mom to Mackey, Idaho to visit her parents before she headed back to China. I have not seen them since Matthew was 3 months old. We flew into SLC and drove for 4 hours to there place. The kids were wonderful little travelers. Matthew only had problems with his ears on the airplane and Paige was happy and content the hole way there and back. I was taken back by the the stars in the sky. I did not realize there could possibly be that many stars in the sky. Being in a town with only 527 people was amazing because you just got away from everything. In Texas we are not able to get out and enjoy the beautiful earth and it was so much fun to experience this with my children. The weather was wonderful with high's in the 60's and loves in the 30's. I love spending time with my grandparents. I really enjoyed listening to the stories my grandfrather told me while the kids were asleep. Thank you guys for a wonderful 3 days of exploring.

The Kids in Idaho

Matthew had so much fun playing on my grandparents land. I as a child have fond memories playing here with my siblings and cousins. Matthew's favorite part was the wooden bridge. He would put rocks on the bridge and crash his monster trucks off the bridge. He loved throwing and collecting sticks. Paige loved the leaves and even ended up eating some. Matthew even got to use my Grandparent's outhouse and thought it was so funny, it reminded him of Shreck. It was so cute hearing him say Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. He would follow Grandpa around everywhere.

Old Town of White Knob

On our last day in Idaho we went up to the old mining town of White Knob. This was my favorite part of the trip. I have always thought that it would be amazing to live in these era. I know that times were more difficult yet it was a time so simple and without the distractions and worldly things of today. I love old rickety buildings and imagining what this town used to be while they were busy mining. There were trails with cabins that had fallen to the ground because of the weight of the snow. Matthew was afraid to go into the old buildings. As you sat and listened you could hear the metal of the buildings screeching in the wind. The best part was the breath taking view from the top of the town of Mackey where my Grandparents live.
